Small Groups

In addition to attending the Sunday worship service, we encourage everyone who comes to EBCG to belong to a small group, even if it is not possible to attend every week. This is to provide closer fellowship than is possible on Sundays, and to ensure a pastoral network runs throughout the church. Through this, everyone can be involved in both giving and receiving support, and also in having a sense of knowing others and being known by others.

Further reasons for being a member of a small group are:

To Study God's Word
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." - 2 Tim. 2:15-16

To Encourage Each Other
"Let the word of God dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." - Col. 3:16

To Do Good To Each Other
"Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." - Gal. 6:6

To Become More Spiritually Mature
"Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." - Heb. 5:13

To Love One Another
"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves." - Rom. 12:10

To Live In Unity
"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity." - Psalm 133:1
